Keep Score.
Keep the Story.

The poetry of baseball, written one batter at a time.

Scorekeeping is more than pencil and paper—it's the art of recording every batter and every play that makes baseball the most perfect game. We keep the "unofficial" score of the game, with our own symbols, notations, personal styles, and notes in the margin. Join Seattle's community of scorekeepers for learning, camaraderie, and magical days and nights at T-Mobile Park.

Our Story

Scorekeepers Union started with a simple observation: keeping score makes you experience baseball games differently. It also helps ballgames live on in your memory when you flip back through your scorebook. We know from experience that scoring together is more fun, and people are always telling us "I've always wanted to try that," or "My grandma used to score games on the radio." To keep this treasured tradition alive among baseball fans, we invite anyone to gather in Section 187, scorebooks in hand, to share the craft and watch Mariners baseball from a new perspective.

All Are Welcome

Veteran scorekeepers and curious first-timers sit side by side. We're not gatekeepers—we're scorekeepers. If you're interested in learning or just want to sit with people who appreciate a well-executed 6-4-3 double play, you belong here.

We Learn Together

From basic notation to the nuances that even official scorers debate, we share what we know. Bring questions, bring your own system, bring curiosity. Whether it's your first scorecard or your thousandth game, there's always something new to discover.

We Show Up

Game days are better with company. We meet in the bleachers, compare scorecards between innings, and celebrate (or commiserate) together. No pressure, no expectations—just people who love the game enough to track every moment of it.
